EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BASSE HAME 2006
As soon as important and practical information becomes available on the fly-in we will communicate them to you.
HOME-BUILT TRIKE CONTEST Come and present your project whether it be one place or tandem. A jury will attribute prizes to the best constructions.
DEMO FLIGHTS BY OUR CHAMPIONS During the afternoon, when air currents are creating some turbulence, our world champions and other pilots will make us dream, will show us some exceptional active flying for our enjoyment and entertainment.
LET’S DARE ! . . . A WORLD RECORD During and since the last Basse Ham Convention in 2006 – we have the world record in our hands – Guinness Book – of the most paramotors in the air, at the same place and same time. According to this year’s listed participation, we will attempt, whether you are a beginner or accomplished pilot, to beat our own record in a safe manner. A certificate will be given on sight should we beat our previous record. As early as 2004 in Basse-Ham, the record was of 140 pilots. In 2006 ever in Basse-Ham, the record is of 210 pilots.
GUIDED CROSS COUNTRY Some local pilots will guide you during some cross country flights across the region. Their mission is to prepare the flight path, comment on any particularities you need to know for a safe flight, and give you any information to help you discover a new flying area and the Lorraine attractions (Vallée de la Moselle, Château de Malbrouck (castle), the Maginot Line, and much more.
ON-SITE CAMPING You can pitch your tent or park your RV on the reserved on-site spaces. Their will be showers and porta-potties available on this camping site.
FLAGS WHEN FLYING To help in planning your flight we have put in place the following color code: Green Flag: conditions permit for a safe flight; Orange Flag: conditions are permitted for the experienced pilots only; Red Flag: no flying is permitted when this flag is out.
ON-SITE TRANSPORTATION For everyone’s convenience, their will be a shuttle service from the camping area, parking, take-off area as well as landing area to facilitate your flying experience at Basse-Ham. This shuttle service will be on a continuous basis throughout the day.
IMPORTANT – FOREIGN PILOTS You must register before the event and send us copies of your paperwork (permit or licence to fly of your country as well as proof of insurance). Grand Air Association must provide this to local authorities and Civil Aviation in order for you to fly legally at Basse-Ham.
PILOT INSURANCE To participate in this event, pilots must have insurance. MAKING LIFE EASY While registering don’t forget to make your food reservation as well. It’s economical and practical. Your only worries will be to meet old friend, make some new friends and of course fly. It also will make it easier for the organizers. |
